PURPOSE:To obtain the output of high image quality even through italic processing accompanied by power variation processing by controlling the read start position and signal interpolation rate of an image signal according to the movement quantity and power variation rate of an image. CONSTITUTION:A gate 109 is controlled with the PVGT signal from an ineffective image control part 107. A RAM-R/W part 103 reads and writes image data in and out of its internal RAM 110. A read address load value generation part 102 generates a 13-bit load value RCLD of an address for reading data out of the SRAM 110 by the RAM-RAW part 103, line by line. An interpolation arithmetic part 105 performs interpolation operation for the image data and an interpolation rate generation part 106 generate 4-bit interpolation rates PRATE<3...0> at the time of the interpolation operation. Then the read start position and interpolation rate of the image signal are controlled according to the movement quantity and power variation rate of the image. |
