PURPOSE:To retrieve the contents of a user dictionary based upon a registration date by previously and fixedly registering various information necessary for translating 1st and 2nd languages in a 1st dictionary, and at the time of registering various information in a 2nd dictionary, registering the information together with its registration date. CONSTITUTION:A dictionary part 26 is provided with a reference dictionary 26a previously and fixedly registering the prescribed number of information and a user dictionary 26b in which a user can optionally register information. The user dictionary 26bstores an entry word expressed by the 1st language, various information (a part of speech and a meaning sort) relating to the entry word, a converted word expressed by the 2nd language, and various information (a part of speech, an article, a main noun, and a leading pronunciation) relating to the converted word with respectively corresponding relation. A registration date is stored together with each information, and when the registration of the regitration date in the user dictionary 26b is specified by a user, a system automatically stores the date. Consequently a retrieving function can be improved. |
