PURPOSE:To easily change the formats of plural areas by making it possible to automatically apply similar format change also to plural remaining areas only by changing the format of one area. CONSTITUTION:A user registers areas whose formats are collectively changed out of areas in a document inputted to a document buffer (not shown) in a RAM 2 in a group table 1 by the operation of a keyboard 6. When format data concerned in a data buffer 21 are changed by applying an instruction for changing the format of an optional area out of areas in a document displayed on an LCD 5 to a CPU 1 by the user through the keyboard 6, the CPU 1 changes other format data in the buffer 21 so that the formats of the other areas registered in the table 1 are changed similarly to the user's instruction. Consequently the formats of plural areas can be easily changed. |
