PURPOSE:To provide a method of manufacturing a hexagonal Ba ferrite sintered magnet which is small in anisotropy of shrinkage factor, less deformed at sintering, enhanced in sintering density and coercive force, and capable of simplifying or dispensing with an after polishing process and a polar anisotropic ring magnet. CONSTITUTION:A magnet is manufactured through such a method that hexagonal Ba ferrite calcinated pellets are ground down into material powder used for a ferrite magnet, material powder is molded in a magnetic field, and a molded body is sintered into a magnet, wherein an Si component such as SiO2 or the like and an Sr component such as SrCO3 or the like are contained in the above molded body. In result, a magnet of organizational structure which contains Ba ferrite as a main phase and Sr and Si as a grain boundary component can be obtained. |
