PURPOSE:To make the lighting state of a pilot lamp clearly distinguishable regardless of the viewing angle by forming a diffusing section of a fiber optical plate formed by welding bundled optical fibers to each other. CONSTITUTION:A diffusing section 4 having a flat bottom and spherical top is provided so as to cover the upper opening of the main body 1 of an LED pilot lamp 2. The section 4 is formed by welding bundled optical fibers 4a, 4a,... to each other. When an electric current is supplied to the lamp 2 and the lamp 2 lights, the light from the lamp 2 is diffused by a diffusing plate 3 and uniformly irradiates the bottom of the section 4. The light rays irradiating the bottom of the section 4 are emitted to the outside from the spherical top (upper surface) side end face of the section 4 after passing through each fiber 4a, 4a,.... Therefore, the lighting state of the lamp 2 can be recognized from all directions regardless of the viewing angle, because the section 4 uniformly shines when the entire body of the diffusing section 4 is viewed. |
