PURPOSE:To provide a sensor for measuring quantity of hydrogen dissolved in molten metal which is capable of preventing an insulative oxide film from being formed on the surface of a solid electrolyte member and having a short initial response time. CONSTITUTION:A solid electrolyte member 1 is formed to be a pipe of which one end is closed with a proton-conductive ceramics or a glass. Porous electrodes 2a, 2b are provided on the outer and inner surfaces of the solid electrolyte member 1 as a measuring electrode and a reference electrode, respectively. A ceramics pipe 4 is fitted to a closed side of the solid electrolyte member 1. A metallic pipe 9 is provided on the inside of the pipe 4 so that the tip portion thereof is in contact with the porous electrode 2b. A ceramics sleeve 3 is fitted to the opening end side of the solid electrolyte member 1. The sleeve 3 is filled with a filler 12 containing 0.01-30wt.% of carbon powder wherein ceramic powder or fibers are contained as additional materials in a filling ratio of 40wt.% or more. |
