摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To perform a highly accurate measurement during conveyance by providing conveyer rolls having a constitution, wherein conveying directions and positions of a laser range finders and the conveyer rolls are aligned, and the parts directly beneath the laser range finders are recessed parts and the other parts are projected parts. CONSTITUTION:With respect to conveyer rolls 1, a disk roll 6 having the same outer diameter as that of the roll 1 is provided directly beneath laser range finders 3. The laser-illuminated surfaces have recessed shapes, and the parts between the recessed parts have projected shapes. A thick steel plate is supported with the recessed-shape parts. A plurality of the range finders 3 are arranged at a constant pitch in the perpendicular direction with the conveying direction. At the recessed parts of the disk roll 6, reference boards 7, which are independently supported with respect to the disk roll 6 and smoothly machined are provided. When the thick steel plate is absent, the correction of the reference positions of the range finders 3 and the like are performed. The conveyed thick steel plate is supported by the projected parts of the disk roll 6 and sent into the parts directly beneath the range finders 3 under the state without vibration. The distance between the range finder 3 and the upper surface of the thick steel plate is measured.</p>
