PURPOSE:To use data communication application for transferring a communication control signal simultaneously with the transfer of data by the use of infrared rays and controlling these transfer by a MODEM control signal. CONSTITUTION:Serial data to be transmitted to a called party are outputted from an infrared-ray transmitting part 12 as serial infrared-ray data. On the other hand, many communication control signals are temporarily converted into a serial signal by a parallel/serial conversion circuit 21. The serial signal is converted into an infrared-ray control signal by an infrared-ray transmitting part 23 and transmitted. Since a change in the communication control signals is small, they can be sufficiently transmitted/received by converting them into infrared rays only when a change is generated. |
