PURPOSE:To reduce the load of the charging current compensation operation processing of a current differential protective relay. CONSTITUTION:With current and voltage converted to digital signals by an A/D conversion part 3, current which is subjected to charging current compensation is calculated by a charging current compensation operation part 11, the current and the current which is subjected to charging current compensated from the other edge part between protection sections received by a reception part 6 are subjected to differential protection operation by a operation part 4, and a generator S is separated from a transmission line L by a circuit breaker CB from an output part according to the operation result, thus enabling the operation processing to be taken care of by the charging current compensation part 11 and the operation part 4 for a rapid processing and compensating charging current even if a voltage is lost due to a PT fault at one edge part between the protection sections. |
