PURPOSE:To prevent toner from being excessively supplied by opening the cover member of a toner supplying container only when the toner in a toner supplying device is deficient. CONSTITUTION:When toner housing parts 40A-40D housing the toner are, sufficiently supplied with the toner of yellow (M), magenta (M), cyan (C) and black (K), the movement of a partition member 1263 is blocked not to supply the toner. But, only in the toner housing parts 40A-40D detected being deficient in the toner by a detecting member, among the parts 40A-40D, the partition member 1263 and the sliding cover of a toner cartridge 50 can be moved. Therefore, the overflowing of the toner and soiling in a device with the toner can be prevented and further, a failure in the toner supplying device caused by the overflowing of the toner, etc., can be prevented as well. |
