PURPOSE:To stabilize engagement of a rolling body and to prevent the occurrence of wear by setting the movement limit of the rolling body by applying stopping operation directly on the rolling body by a stopper when the rolling body is moved to the side, where a distance between cam surfaces is long, of a clutch body. CONSTITUTION:Rolling bodies 3 and 4 are arranged in each of a plurality of clutch body spaces 5 formed between outer and inner rotary bodies 1 and 2 and arranged in the peripheral direction of the two rotary bodies 1 and 2. When the outer rotary body 1 is started to rotate in a rotation direction F, the rolling body 3 effects automatic rotation owing to contact of it with the outer rotary body 1 and the rolling body 4 is moved to the narrow side of the clutch body space 5. The rotary body 4 is rapidly lodged in a space between the cam surface K1 of the outer rotary body 1 and the cam surface K2 of the inner rotary body 2 to integrally rotatably intercouple the outer and inner rotary bodies 1 and 2. When the inner rotary body 2 overruns, a stopper 1b molded integrally with the outer rotary body 1 effects stop operation directly on the rolling body 3 and the movement limit of the rolling body 3 is set. This constitution eliminates a spring and a retainer and increases durability. |
