<p>PURPOSE:To provide a seal for cable connection closure which is easy of mounting to a cable and has an enough waterproof property. CONSTITUTION:A hole for passage of a cable 2 is piercing the center of a cylindrical packing 10 so that it may be coaxial with the packing 2. Moreover, at the side of the packing is space S provided in the longitudinal direction of the packing 10, and as a result, the cable 2 can be passed into this hole H through this space S. Furthermore, the diameter of the hole H is free to expand and shrink within the specified range by changing the width of this space S. On the other hand, at the inside periphery 10 of the packing 10 is a metallic wire 11 buried in the condition that the side face 1 is projected inward in diametrical direction from the inside periphery 10a, and besides the metallic wire 11 is extended in the peripheral direction of the packing 10 while meandering in the longitudinal direction of the packing 10.</p> |
