<p>PURPOSE:To provide the mechanism of simple constitution which increases sound effects by adding the mechanism to columns of the piano. CONSTITUTION:A coupling member 4 is fixed to the surfaces of the columns 23a to 23d on the opposite sides from a soundboard 16. The coupling member 4 is fixed to the column 23a on the side of one end 4a which is widest, to the column 23a on the side of the other end 4b which is narrowest, and to the columns 23c and 23d at two intermediate parts 4c and 4d between both the ends 4a and 4b respectively. Consequently, the base 27 and beams 32a and 32b which are connected to the columns 23a to 23d respectively, and further the frame and soundboard 16 which are supported by them and not illustrated can be improved in strength distribution. Acoustic characteristics such as, specially, high-tone side attenuation characteristics are improved, the mechanism can be manufactured extremely easily, and there are advantages in space and manufacturing cost.</p> |
