PURPOSE:To enable a steam removing device for chemical excitation oxygen- iodine laser to continuously remove water from an operating gas. CONSTITUTION:A belt 1 is wound around a pulley 2 with tension so that the belt 1 can be run and a cooling plate 3 cools the belt 2 while it is brought into contact with the internal surface of the belt 2. The cooling plate 3 cools the belt 1 to a temperature lower than the coagulation point of steam with a coolant 10 circulated in the plate 3 from a cooling device 5 through a coolant circulating pipe 4. When a gas or liquid from which water must be removed is brought into contact with the surface of the belt 1, the water contained in the gas coagulates and freezes into ice and the ice adhere to the surface of the belt 1. Since the belt 1 is run, the water contained in the gas can be continuously removed as ice with a scraper 6. |
