Fixing for windscreen wiper blade to wiper arm

The fixing is formed with a mounting piece (34) which fits between the two parallel side wings (12) of the windscreen wiper blade (10), into an opening (16) which is formed in the upper cross back section (14) which links together the two parallel side wings. The mounting piece has two parallel side arms (38) which are linked together by a transverse partition section (40). At one of the longitudinal extremities of the mounting piece, a fixing lug (46) projects outwards. This fixing lug is located under the corresponding transverse edge (26) of the opening in the back of the wiper blade. Part of the upper face of the fixing lug is thickened to fit into the second rectangular opening (62) formed in the transverse back section of the wiper blade.
