PURPOSE:To simplify the electrode treatment of a surface light source composed of blue light emitting diodes and to reduce the thickness of the light source. CONSTITUTION:In a surface light source in which a plurality of blue light emitting diodes is arranged on the end face of a transparent light transmission plate 1 so that the electrodes of the diodes can be protruded from the end face of the plate 1, anodes 3 and cathodes 4 of the diodes are connected in parallel to each other through the conductors of a flexible sheet 2 composed of a flexible insulator and the conductors attached to both surfaces of the insulator. |
