<p>PURPOSE:To satisfactorily keep the linearity of a magnetic tape and to enhance the reproducing compatibility and the picture quality of the tape by guiding the traveling of the magnetic tape 10 supporting its lower edge only at two points of the inlet and outlet of the magnetic tape on a fixed cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic tape is guided by a tape guide surface 26 of the fixed cylinder 22, and is traveled in the state of being wound aslant around a rotary cylinder 1 and the fixed cylinder 22 at 180 deg.. The shape of a lead part 27 of the fixed cylinder 22 is formed in such a manner that an inlet position 0 deg. and an outlet position 180 deg. of the magnetic tape are regarded as vertexes, and an intermediate part between them is positioned on the lower side (on the side opposite to the rotary cylinder 1) from a reference line connecting the 0 deg. position vertex and the 180 deg. position vertex with a straight line. Since the lower edge of the magnetic tape is supported only by the two points of the 0 deg. position vertex and the 180 deg. position vertex of the lead part 27, and the tape is guided in the vertical direction accordingly, the linearity of traveling of the tape is not influenced by shape processing accuracy of the lead part 27.</p> |
