PURPOSE:To speedily provide the route required by a driver from the start point to the destination in the device for searching route used for the navigation system. CONSTITUTION:A processor 15 decides the present position based on the information from a GPS receiver 11, direction sensor 12, distance sensor 13. It is overlapped on the map data in a map data base and displayed on a display device 17. When a driver sets the destination from a controller 14, the processor 15 searches the route with the minimum passage cost and displays it on the display device 17. When the driver does not want the recommended route, the processor 15 increases the passage cost of the link comprising the route and re-searches it. When the past route is overlapped in re-searching, it is not adopted. Thus, the route obtained by re-searching can be another one from the past results. |
