PURPOSE:To eliminate the waste of electric power by detecting a signal which makes possible the image recording of at least a 1st page after termination and driving the heater of a fixing unit. CONSTITUTION:When a calling terminal (communication side) dials and a called terminal terminates and detects no calling tone signal from the calling terminal, a ring-back tone is sent out since the origination side is not a facsimile, and a talk is possible once an off-hook state is entered. The ring-back tone is continuously sent out while the off-hook operation is not done and the called terminal follows a facsimile communication procedure a certain time later or when a CNG signal is detected, thereby showing the transmitting receiving function of the called terminal to the calling terminal. The moment a digital instruction signal specifying a function that the calling terminal selects to the called terminal is received by the called terminal, a CPU 30 outputs a heater driving signal to a recording part B, which starts heat-up operation. |
