PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device having a means capable of obtaining plural pieces of information with one center pattern and maintaining proper copy quality without reducing a copying speed. CONSTITUTION:In an image forming device for forming a specified latent image pattern in an image carrier 1, making a toner pattern (sensor pattern) by developing this with a developer 5 containing toner, detecting this toner pattern by means of an optical sensor 6 and controlling an image forming condition such as a toner concentration replenishing and the like based on the result thereof, toner patterns are continuously made in the moving direction of the image carrier 1 under different conditions. Since the toner patterns are continuosly made in the moving direction of the image carrier under the different conditions and the reflection rates, etc., of the toner patterns are continuosly changed in the moving direction of the image carrier 1, by detecting these patterns plural bits of information are obtained from one pattern. |
