<p>PURPOSE:To provide a coordinate input device for selecting any icon with a remote operation by displaying a pointer at a position where the axial line of a transmitter/received held by the hand is directed on the display screen of a device to be controlled. CONSTITUTION:A main body 2 is provided with a light transmitting part 11, and an optical signal transmitted from the light transmitting part 11 is received by a position detector 12 provided at a transmitter/receiver 1 so that the position of the light transmitting part 11 at the main body 2 on an orthogonal plane with the axiel line of the transmitter/receiver 1 as an origin can be calculated. Then, an arithmetic part 12 calculates the position in the case of positioning the light transmitting part 11 at the center of the display screen, and this corrected position signal is transmitted from a light transmitting part 7 to the main body 2. Afterwards, the main body 2 transmits this received position signal to a device 3 to be operated, and the pointer is displayed at the position corresponding to the position signal on the surface of a display device 4.</p> |
