PURPOSE:To select a reception mode of the satellite receiver with simple configuration. CONSTITUTION:A signal from a broadcast satellite received by satellite broadcast reception antennas 2, 4 is frequency-converted by converters 8, 10 and the converted signal is fed to a tuner 12 and a signal from a communication satellite received by a satellite communication reception antenna 6 is frequency- converted by a converter 22 and fed to the tuner 12. A reception circuit 30 is provided in the tuner 12 and any of signals from the converters 8, 10, 22 is fed through a changeover switch 28. There are various reception modes to select a filter in the reception circuit 30 or to throw the changeover switch 28 in order to receive a signal of a desired channel among the signals and the reception modes are stored in a memory 37. A switch 40 of an external controller 38 is switched automatically and the reception mode corresponding to number of times of switching is read from the memory 37 by a control section 36 and set respectively.
