PURPOSE:To prevent troubles accompanied with the welding by providing a differential gear case without any weld seams. CONSTITUTION:An oblong hole 5a is cut in a tubular stock 5, the tubular stock 5 is expanded by gear chamber expanding dies 10a-10d while the compressive force is applied as indicated by the arrows P, P through necking dies 12a, 12b, and the tubular stock is held between outer closing and fixing dies 6a, 6b to form a gear chamber 1b of a differential gear case.
