<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain two-fold brightness at an observation point by providing only the mirror finished surface having an axis parallel with a direction where a micro-declination is going to be applied to reflected light with a deflection angle orthogonal with this axis. CONSTITUTION:This retroreflection type reflector is composed of plural reflection elements 2. The reflection elements 2 are formed of three faces of the mirror finished surfaces 2a to 2c which basically and respectively intersect orthogonally with each other. The declination alpha to be applied on the reflected light is set, for example, upward in a perpendicular direction. The mirror finished surface 2a which is settable with the tangent parallel with the direction of the argument alpha, i.e., the perpendicular direction within the plane is selected as the mirror finished surface to be applied with the declination alpha. The mirror finished surface 2a is subjected to rotation with the perpendicular by the deflection angle beta around an axis X orthogonal with the perpendicular as the center of rotation. The deflection angle beta set at the same value as the value of the argument alpha is applied to the mirror finished surface 2a in the direction orthogonal with the axis X. As a result, respective two images; the reflected images U1, U2 upward and D1, D2 downward are eventually overlapped in the perpendicular direction.</p> |
