PURPOSE:To obtain a driving apparatus by which the generation of an unpleasant vibration or noise can be reduced sharply without using a DC power supply and by which a change in the torque of a motor can be prevented sufficiently. CONSTITUTION:An alternating current from a commercial AC power supply 31 is fill-wave-rectified by a full-wave rectifying circuit 32 so as to be supplied to a universal motor 33. On the other hand, a first timer generates a trigger signal at a corrected pulse cycle which has been stored in a ROM. Then, when a trigger signal Sb is generated, a second timer generates a pulse signal Sc in which a pulse width W0 output by a control device 36 has been logic-inverted. When an inversion signal which has logic-inverted the pulse signal Sc via an inverter is given to a switching element 34, the switching element 34 is turned on and off, a full-wave-rectified output is chopped, a chopped voltage is supplied to the universal motor 33, and the motor 33 is driven. |
