<p>PURPOSE: To provide a text/sound (TTS) conversion system for converting an input text to output acoustic signals for imitating natural sound. CONSTITUTION: This text/sound conversion (TTS) system is provided with two processors, that are a language processor 210 and an acoustic processor 220. The former plays the role of receiving the input text and decomposing it into a phoneme column. To respective phonemes, a duration period and a pitch are allocated. The acoustic processor plays the role of reproducing the phonemes and connecting them to desired acoustic output. From the point that the language processor 210 is not operated until the request of input is received from the acoustic processor 220, the TTS system is driven from output. A request and a return message for indicating that the request is satisfied are route specified through a process dispatcher 230. By driving the system from the output, when it is required to interrupt acoustic output, the system is accurately stopped.</p> |
