PURPOSE:To prevent transmission hunting due to minute fluctuation of gradient by arranging a low-pass filter which performs filtering of a value in respect to the gradient of a road to be supplied to a transmission ratio control means from a gradient detection means in transmission controlling according to a value relevant to the gradient of the road. CONSTITUTION:Solenoid valves 7, 8 are controlled in transmission controlling so as to obtain a target transmission ratio by means of a controller 9. At this time, acceleration is cxalculated based on an output of a speed sensor 10, while rolling resistance and air resistance are obtained. An engine torque is obtained based on an engine speed and a throttle opening. An output torque is calculated based on the engine torque, the present transmission ratio and the like. Gradient resistance is calculated from the output torque, acceleration, the rolling resistance and the air resistance. It is utilized for controlling the transmission ratio (power) at the time of climbing and descending. Transmission hunting is prevented by performing filterling the target power obtained in respect to the gradient resistance by a low-pass filter. |
