PURPOSE:To perform room monitoring besides protecting security and privacy by collating inquiry information supplied from a caller with communication destination information registered on memory when an incoming call is received and applying such control to open a covering means only when coincidence is obtained between them. CONSTITUTION:When the incoming call from an opponent is received, it is confirmed whether or not its own call number coincides with a subaddress stored in the subaddress storage area 17a of the memory 17. When coincidence is obtained, it is judged whether a call is the one by image communication, and when a judged result shows yes, a communication state in a mode of image communication is started, and also, a camera cover is opened. In such a way, the monitoring of a room can be performed. When the subaddress differs from the one stored in the memory 17 when the incoming call is received, a state is returned to a standby state when a hand-set 11 is not raised. When the handset 11 is raised, the camera cover 12 is opened and the mode of image communication is started when an opposite number coincides with the number registered on the memory 17. |
