PURPOSE:To provide an image-forming device which effectively uses a toner recovering container according to the operation conditions of the device and is efficiently operable. CONSTITUTION:A toner image is formed from dots on an electrostatic latent image carrier 1 by means of a developing unit 5, and is transferred onto transfer paper 7 by means of a transfer/separation electrifier 6. After the transfer of the toner image by the transfer/separation electrifier 6, toner remaining on the electrostatic latent image carrier 1 is recovered into the waste-toner recovering container 9 by means of a cleaning unit 8. When an amount of toner recovered in the container 9 exceeds a preset prescribed amount, a toner- full signal is outputted from a toner-full sensor 11, and the dots of the toner image formed on the electrostatic latent image carrier 1 are counted by a counting part 14 which is actuated by a toner-full detection circuit 12 actuated in response to the toner-full signal. When the number as the result of the count by the counting part 14 reaches the preset prescribed number, the operation of the image-forming device is inhibited by an image-forming device control circuit 16. |
