PURPOSE:To provide a sensor for measuring quantity of hydrogen dissolved in molten metal capable of preventing decreasing of the life of a sensor element and deterioration of measurement accuracy due to a floating material on the surface of the molten metal and of avoiding damage due to heat shock. CONSTITUTION:A solid electrolyte member 1 is formed to be a pipe of which one end is closed with a proton-conductive ceramics or a glass. Porous electrodes 2a, 2b are provided on the outer and inner surfaces of the solid electrolyte member 1 as a measuring electrode and a reference electrode, respectively. A sleeve 3 is fitted to the opening side of the solid electrolyte member 1. The sleeve 3 is filled with ceramic powder 12. A ceramic pipe 4 is fitted to the closed side of the solid electrolyte member 1. A ceramics coating film 14 and a metallic coating film 13 are applied on the outer surfaces of the pipe 4 and sleeve 3. The metallic coating film 13 covers a tip portion of the sleeve 3. |
