<p>PURPOSE:To provide a device which adds the differential code of a picture element as additional information and performs reproduction by suppressing the deterioration of picture quality by using the information in an image encoding system setting DCT encoding as a base. CONSTITUTION:A code is read in, and the header of the code is analyzed by a header analysis means 11, and it is decoded by a decoder means 12, and reverse-quantized by an reverse quantization means 13, and an image is expanded by applying reverse DCT processing to it by an IDCT means 14. When the additional information is added, the additional information is read by an additional information reading means 21, and the differential code is expanded by an additional information decoder means 22. An image compositing means 23 generates image data with high picture quality by composing the differential code from the additional information with the image data from the IDCT means 14.</p> |
