<p>PURPOSE:To provide a magnetic recording/reproducing device which can identify the tape recorded contents on a screen and also can display the captions. CONSTITUTION:This magnetic recording/reproducing device is provided with the tape map memory which stores the tape recorded contents and a tape map controller. An operation input means 14 includes a tape map button 141, a caption button 142, a reproduction button 143, a stop button 145, etc. When the video tape recorded by the magnetic recording/reproducing device is loaded and the button 141 is depressed, a tape map screen 40 is displayed to show the contents of the programs recorded on the tape, the recording time, the information showing whether the recorded programs are already reproduced, etc. A cursor is set at a desired program on the screen 40 by means of the buttons 151 and 152 and the button 143 is depressed. Thus the screen 40 is switched to a screen 60 and a character C1 runs to show a tape retrieving mode. Then a reproduction mode is automatically set after a program searching is finished.</p> |
