<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption by setting a light emitting power smaller at the time of the automatic ejection after paper jamming and the trial printing. CONSTITUTION:The light emitting power control part 31 is made possible to switch the light emitting power of the flash lamp at least two steps in the flash fixing device 10. When the paper jamming in the transfer medium transporting path is detected by the paper jamming detecting part 11, or when the trial printing is indicated by the operator panel 21, the light emitting power is controlled by the light emitting power control part 31 so as to make the light emitting power smaller than the normal time. For instance, (1) by reducing the DC voltage applied to the flash lamp, (2) making the light emitting cycle of the flash lamp longer, or (3) extending the distance between the flash lamp and the transfer medium transporting path, while extending the light emitting cycle, the light emitting power is made smaller than the normal time by the light emitting power control part 31.</p> |
