<p>PURPOSE:To dispense with the work of shaving the surface of a cable insulator after removal of a cushion material so as to simplify the connection process by making the cushion material provided on two cable insulators out of a semiconductive composition. CONSTITUTION:A cable 1 is cut in specified dimensions, and the conductor 2 is exposed, and a cable insulator 4 at the tip is processed in spindle shape, and then a cable outer semiconductor layer 5 is peeled off with a glass piece, and then the conductors 2 are compressed and connected with each other by a conductor connection pipe 6. What is more, prior to compressing and connecting them, the cable insulators 14 on both sides are covered with cushion materials 12 in advance. This cushion material 12 consists of the same material as the outer semiconductor layer 11 to be overlaid later, for example, it is one where four crosslinked tubes 2mm thick and 150mm wide are laid on top of each other. Hereby, the work to shave the surface of the cable insulator 4 after removal of the cushion material 12 becomes needless, and the connection work process can be simplified.</p> |
