PURPOSE:To obtain the electrode for battery having a sufficient capacity, and to obtain the secondary battery using this electrode by adding conductive powder into an electrode, which is made of carbon fiber, so as to hold the advantage of the carbon fiber. CONSTITUTION:In this electrode, both of carbon fiber and conductive powder are used together. Carbon fibers, which are arranged in one direction so as to form a sheet, can increase the filling density, and furthermore, capacity can be improved by adding carbon powder. As the conductive powder, metal power, semiconductor powder and carbon powder or the like is known, and carbon powder is especially desirable from the point of chemical stability in relation to the electrolyte. As the transition metal oxide, LiCoO2 or LiNiO2 is desirable. |
