PURPOSE:To obtain the non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery, which has a long charge and discharge cycle lifetime, by using the material, which is obtained by combining Li.Mn compound oxide and Al2O3, as the positive electrode active material powder. CONSTITUTION:In this non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery, as the positive electrode active material, the powder (a), which is made of the compound particles of Li.Mn compound oxide and Al2O3, or the mixture (b) of the powder of Li.Mn compound oxide and the Al2O3 powder, is used. As the Li.Mn compound oxide, for example, the compound of spinel type riMn2O4, Li2MnO3, and MnO2, and LiMnO2, is used. |
