PURPOSE:To reduce the manufacturing cost of a heat insulating device by making it of a fibrous body of a straight roll form in common irrespective of difference in curvature if the device is a curved cylindrical body with the same diameter. CONSTITUTION:The heat insulating device 1 is constituted of curved semi- cylindrical pieces 2,3. The semi-cylindrical pieces 2, 3 are constituted basically by almost triangular segments 2a-2b cut in specific number perpendicularly to axis, arranged in axial direction A, the interval being smaller on inside than on outside. The segments 2a-2b are made by cutting obliquely at different angles alternately along axis fibrous body in roll form. Segments 2a-2c are thus mutually connected, those of small axial length and those of large axial length being on respective particular sides, so that a cylindrical body of a curved form can be constituted and difference in curvature can be dealt with. |
