<p>PURPOSE:To make a pointing device such as a mouse wireless by transmitting a position information signal from the equipment for inputting position information to the main body of a computer with no contact while utilizing any specified magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:An oscillator 2 generates a transmitting signal from power from a DC power source 1. On the other hand, there is a device 4 for converting two-dimensional position information to a current level at the input equipment such as the mouse and the two-dimensional position information is converted to the current level in advance. Then, the amplitude of a transmitting wave generated by the oscillator 2 is modulated and amplified by inputting a current reflected with this two-dimensional position information to an amplifier 3. A magnetic field generating coil 5 is connected to the output of the amplifier 3 and a high frequency magnetic field equipped with a frequency component higher than 200kHz containing the two-dimensional position information is generated. On the other hand, a high frequency magnetic field detector 6 installed inside the main body of the computer detects this high frequency magnetic field and after its impedance is changed by the intensity of the magnetic field and amplified by an output side amplifier 7, a demodulating circuit 9 removes and demodulates the transmitting signal.</p> |
