<p>PURPOSE:To receive a synchronous packet without interruption and to receive an asynchronous packet without omission with a minimum buffer size in a communication system connected by a P1394 serial bus. CONSTITUTION:The packet which a receiver 4 receives is transmitted to a separator 5. The separator 5 identifies the synchronous packet and the asynchronous packet from a packet identification code written in the header of the packet. When IRF 6 is not 'full', the synchronous packet (e) is written in IRF 6. When ARF 7 is not 'full', the asynchronous packet (g) is written in ARF 7.</p> |
