摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To detect a hot object reliably at low cost by rotary driving an infrared array sensor and an ultrasonic sensor synchronously thereby superposing a hot image and an object image each other. CONSTITUTION:When an infrared sensor rotating means 3 and an ultrasonic sensor rotating means 6 are started simultaneously by a signal delivered from a controller 7, an infrared sensor 1 turns by Q1 degree continuously within t1 second and a chopper 4 performs chopping once. The chopping operation is synchronized with an ultrasonic pulse. In other words, an ultrasonic sensor 5 transmits an ultrasonic wave in the direction of Q1 degree from the start position immediately after continuous horizontal rotation of Q1 degree and then the reflected wave is received in order to measure he echo data in the direction of Q1 degree. The operation is repeated (m) times to obtain a hot image over a range of Q1mum in the horizontal direction and an object image of ultrasonic wave simultaneously. These two-dimensional distribution images are superposed each other by means of the controller 7 thus detecting a hot object, e.g. a human body, reliably without requiring any expensive cooling means.</p>
