PURPOSE:To record and reproduce speech information by a facsimile equipment, etc., without requiring an automatic answering telephone function by converting the speech information into image information, sending the image information and speech information at the same time, and reading and reproducing recorded information. CONSTITUTION:The speech information inputted from a speech input device 1 is converted by a speech PCM conversion part 2 into PCM codes, which are converted into the image information by an image PCM code conversion part 4, and the information is stored in a memory 6 through a total control part 5. To send the speech information to an opposite side together with the image information, the image information, digitized from a read controller 7 through a read control part 8, and the information stored previously in the memory 6 are outputted to a line through a composing modem part 9 and an NCU part. To read and reproduce the recorded information, the information which is digitized from the control part 7 through the control part 8 is inputted to the conversion part 4, classified into PCM control information and PCM data, and converted by the conversion part 2 into a speech, which is reproduced through a speech reproducing device 3. |
