<p>PURPOSE:To attach this protector easily to a car body or equipment by erecting a tongue piece for mounting to be coupled through the top cover of a molding protector for a wire harness and a hinge, on the center line of the groove of a long groove body for accommodating a wire harness set through, and bringing it down to either left or right. CONSTITUTION:A molding protector 1 is constituted of a protector main part 2 being a long groove body for accommodating a wire harness 8, and a cover 3 for covering the main part 2. A tongue piece 5 for mounting, which is free of being brought down to right or left through the cover 3 and a thin hinge part 6, is erected at the required section of the topside of the cover 3. The tongue piece 5 for mounting is erected on the center line 19 in width of the cover 3, in axial direction of the protector main part 2, and if a user brings it down, selecting either right or left, arrow A or B, the lower half joins with the topside of the cover 3, and the upper half including a mounting hole 4 lies upon the main part 2 of the protector, and it is fixed with a screw 11. The protector 1 is fixed in a groove 9 for arrangement of the door frame 10 of a car body. Hereby, it is possible to accommodate both the right handed and left handed parts, and the number of parts is reduced.</p> |
