PURPOSE:To omit unrequired arithmetic operation in reverse orthogonal transform processing appropriately as suppressing hardware and control complexity. CONSTITUTION:In the reverse orthogonal transform processing, a partial arithmetic operation relating to a row or column in which all values show zeros can be omitted. The column is divided into a first column group with v=0-3 and a second column group with v=-4-7. In the second column group, high frequency in which all the data show zeros exists. The omitting pattern of the partial arithmetic operation according to judgement whether or not all the data in the second column group show zeros can be reduced by rendering such judgement, and the arithmetic operation can be omitted appropriately as suppressing the making of the hardware and control into complexity. |
