PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of an error that delivery becomes impossible owing to a cause except for a machine trouble by permitting a computer on a reception-side to reject the reception of an electronic mail when an insufficient electronic mail address is used. CONSTITUTION:Computers A1 and B2 exchanging the electronic mails are provided with header information extraction parts 10, transmission parts 11, reception parts 12, header preservation parts 13, mail preservation parts 14, check parts 20 and response parts 21. When the electronic mail address of a transmitter included in header information of the electronic mail being delivered, is incomplete and the computer B2 on the reception-side cannot transmit the electronic mail to the electronic mail address of the transmitter, the computer B2 on the reception-side rejects the reception of the electronic mail. Thus, the error that delivery becomes impossible owing to the cause except for the machine trouble is prevented. Then, a person receiving the electronic mail is prevented from being put to trouble and the burden of a system manager is prevented from becoming large. |
