The novelty is that brewers or distillers grains, or kieselguhr filter materials, or a combination of these, are used as biologically degradable packing materials. The chosen materials are subjected to extrusion processes, thermal processes, or pressure processes, or a combination. The strength of the packaging materials is created by the adhesive characteristics of the protein, sugar and starch held in the organic materials and brought forth by the processes used, and enhanced as required by the introduction of further glues or binding agents. The packaging mass used may be chosen from many other substances such as straw, grass and sugar beet. The process temperatures used are between 30 and 300 degrees C, and pressures of between 50 and 1000 bar.
