A head lamp cleaning system for a motor vehicle comprises a telescopic nozzle 7 extensible through an opening 6 in an outer wall 1 of the vehicle into its operative position and a cover 4 for the opening pivotally mounted in the region 5 of the rim of the opening 6, which is held in its closed position by means of a spring 13, in the rest position of the nozzle. The cover is opened by the head of the nozzle pressing against its underside. The nozzle is fastened to a lamp casing 9 of headlamp 8 by means of flange 10 and latch 11. <IMAGE>
