The device contains a mounting base (1), a rotary potentiometer, a lever (5) pivotably mounted on the base, a restoring spring and a pivotably mounted rocker (9) which can be forced against a friction surface of the lever by the spring. The base has an open, concave bearing position (4) between two bearing blocks (2). The lever has a convex bearing part (6) with an actuation part (7) and a drive cam (8) opposite the actuation part. The rocker has a concave thrust part (10) and a counter part (11) and is pivotably mounted in the bearing blocks via a shaft (12). A spring (13) between the cam and counter part forces the concave thrust part against the open, concave bearing position.
