The buckle has an engagement point for the spring fixed on the pin wherein the engagement point is spatially removed from the rotary axis of the pin. As the pin is lifted so the spring can turn, roll or slide down about the engagement point whereby the direction of the ensuing spring force or torque relative to the rotary axis about which the pin rotates changes. The forces acting on the clasp body and pin are counterbalanced in the closed state. When the pin is opened, a closing moment is produced which is reduced to zero again when the pin is opened.
