<p>A device including one or more rigid bracing members (3), screws (4) or similar bone anchoring components, and intermediate members (6) for joining together the bracing member (3) and the screws (4). Each intermediate member (6) includes two plates (15, 16) hinged together at one end and having oblong holes (20, 21) at the other end, said plates (15, 16) being designed to receive and frictionally clamp the bracing member (3) with sufficient friction to prevent the intermediate member (6) from pivoting under its own weight relative to the bracing member (3) prior to implantation, but insufficient friction to prevent all movement of the intermediate member (6) relative to the bracing member (3).</p> |
