SURFACE PROTEIN OF STAPHYLOCOCCUS AUREUS

摘要

Methods and compositions are provided for preventing Staphylococcus aureus infections associated with the use of catheters and similar devices. They are based on the neutralization of ability of surface proteins of staphylococcis to adhere to the surface of the catheters at the skin-catheter junction as the first step in the systemic invasion of the host by the organism.
